The problem: the insurance company requires 10 hours dual in make and model with a CFI and there isn’t a practical way to do that. Owning an airplane, whether you build it, restore it, or buy it, can be one of the high points in any aviator’s life; however, the last thing you expect to learn when you are obtaining insurance is that you and/or your aircraft are uninsurable, the price of insurance is excessive, or the check-out requirements are nearly impossible. EAA’s mission is to grow participation in aviation and EAA works with Falcon Insurance Agency, Inc., to make sure members can get the right insurance at the best price…including those times when it seems impossible to do so. In this webinar Bob Mackey, senior vice president with Falcon Insurance Agency, Inc., will discuss ways EAA members can investigate the cost and requirements for aircraft insurance before they build or buy an airplane.
